While forcing a window open in my shower, I broke my middle finger on right hand,so please excuse the short comments, writing only with left hand;-)et

Poem Artwork

The flow of my words
joined  the river of my emotion
I could not staunch the tidal wave
of my souls devotion

intense verse was now coursing
down the leg of my imagination
I became breathless as my lungs
filled with such anticipation ...

I could hardly contain my elation
as my heart beat with words of
rhyme, that were sublime

Then came the detection of the
mirrors image a reflection most
divine...it wasn't mine

I proceeded to write that which
was inspired, coming from the
molten fire of design in a muses mind.

I read this with sublime elation. Bravo! (I hope that none suspect the devilish you are getting from giving everyone the finger.)

Whoever it was, your muse or you, that wrote this...it is devinely accomplished! Knowing how your mind turns inwardly to your soul (when not flying loftily above), doubt you needed much prodding from your muse, Eileen!!

I always enjoy visiting your Den Eileen because you never fail to enrich your readers with your scintillating muse and verse.
I hope your finger is in a splint. It will heal quicker that way you know.

I have to go with Jerry's assertion below that you are giving full vent to your subconscious and its wonderful gifts.

Tell your subconscious to heal your finger ASAP too..:)

"If the lady says she's a muse, then she's a muse" (Xanadu w/Olivia Newton-John). So when the muse says write, I guess broken fingers and all we just have to write. Heehee. But I hope you get better soon. I loved this poem and it was very well written.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie.

Ah, but that is why they call it "Your" Muse, my dear Eileen, it is merely your subconscious being liberated. At least that is MY interpretation.

Sorry to hear about that finger. There is just no good place to break anything, but fingers are bad for those of us who pick and peck on the keyboard.
