Poem Artwork

We soar into the cosmos of critics light
wearing sunbeams

The sun hugs and warms our syllables
kissing our pens

Drunk on the elixir of your thoughts flush
with the fluid of your mind

I swim into the sainted sea of promise
getting wet in the words

I embrace the rhythm of all rhyme as it
returns my melodious muse

In the pleasing phrase of palpitating prose
I float midst petals of roses

As the waves of metaphors become aroused
I enter where they are housed

Soon I take the poetic plunge and punch out verse
being caught in the isle of Libre

sinuous, sensuousness of your delicious words is mirrored and paralleled by the wonderful visual you have chosen to match, Eileen. I can see each of your stanzas housed within that picture, which is indeed intoxicating. Silky smooth, too... just right for plunging into! Exotic and erotic and as tactile as a fine feather quill... may it never run dry! :)) xx

And I have to settle for a strong dose of Joe to get my elixir flush. Mostly it's just flushed. This is soothing and enchanting. Patrick
