It isn't easy to explain
how thoughts get lost
in wind and rain, nor
how time goes so swiftly by
since it has only one pace
and does not rest nor race
neither can we give  reasons why
we let our senses go awry
 too many mysterious causes
in which our mind takes pause
they predict sunshine and it snows
goes to show how little we know
so, there will be many things obscure
of which we can never be sure
like a love, starts in fall, ends in spring
not sure if it was a dream, or real thing

etw

(don't ask;-)

If this isn't the truth, Eileen. Learning acceptance may be a difficult task, but the only way to peace. But is it hard to let go! Yet some things are meant for only a season. Fine write...Lin

Like the unique take and paradox on - love stars in fall and ends in spring - spring normally being the beginning of the beginning and autumn so oft' a metaphor for the end of the beginning. One can hear a small; impatient clock rushing, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, faster, faster, rather than the old slow and unhurried (tick...tock...tick, no rush, tock of the old grandfather clock) beating within observation of modernity in your poems message of not living tomorrow now, because tomorrow is now. Deep poem, Tiggs.

Like others, I can relate because this is real and truthful, it's how we are and what we are, Eileen,

Guess you're having a hard time of it, Eileen, as summerized in the final two words "Don't ask". I'm sorry! You're in my prayers now and always! Nice to see you; I miss you when you aren't here! Well done!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :)

Like a ship board romance over calm seas when you reach your destination from it you flee. Moments of love left in the ships wake. Good one Eileen.

Obscurity, a far too big a word for me, without you remember, the world wouldn't work at all, it takes all there is, nothing is obscure, it only seems that way, our eyes and thinking deceives us.
The poem though, is a wonderful flowing piece of artistry, like a flower opening to full bloom. Hugs! Jasmin Horst

Dear Eileen, I agree with your poem and with the last two words (don't ask;) we should just have faith. "Que sera sera"
What will be will be. Our body is a temporarily matter. But we will always be there if we know how to be prepared. "We will be sure," and "nothing will be obscure" as soon as one discovers his light.
Bless those who teach us how to pray our daily prayer and to be happy no matter what. Dear Eileen keep digging deep in yourself
Love Emile
