somrtimes nothing seems to matter
then logic gets lost in banal chatter
and things said are most absurd
yet others hold you to your word
you're forced to argue what you said
stifling the urge to slap their head
there was no point to what you meant
yet they choose to argue your intent
such is the way of idle conversation
when a culture has lost its imagination
we can blame terrorists,earthquakes,war
however,the truth is humanity is a bore
unless magical minds strike the match
that cause masterful ideas to hatch
but too much time is wasted on trivia
and the gossip coming from the media
our leaders have lost their creativity
we follow along with robotic futility

I have to agree, Eileen, but I don't dwell on the trivia. Britney who? I have let the cable people have their channels back. If I watch television it is to check out a Netflick movie. I get my news from the Internet, no goofy smiling talking heads to contend with. I write my books. My poems. I have a full life and I am not bored. I am truly a happy man, isn't it wonderful how that can be when we finally, after all these years, come to terms with ourselves?
... you sound so much like me, Eileen. I find it very difficult to be or show interest in anything conversational, apart from that which ignites my creative streak or weird functioning of my convoluted mind-matrices! I tell you what, though... I'd love to be on YOUR team for Trivial Pursuit and Cranium and all other raucous party games... you can slap my head anytime I step outta line... which I can guarantee, will be quite a lot! :)) Great to see you posting again and I do hope your eyes are behaving themselves! Calling attentiuon to the ills of our times and the leaders who are out to destroy our Republic. Stop the Progressive(Communistic and Socialistic} ideology we are accepting from our politicians in both parties. If they use the word progressive they do not have our best interests at heart. Vote them out.
