In the early morn a thought is born

It floats out in space like a cloud in a race

It flutters in the wind as it goes awry

Then flirts with the birds as they pass by

And when it returns from whence it came

It gets lost in the clutter of my brain

A thought released is a boomerang
It'll rattle around and make a bang
The clutter's helpless against the noise
Thought recovered and expressed with poise

Excellent, Eileen! Wonderful capture of that which each one of us knows sooooooooooooo well! Love the light and airiness to this, just like that wayward feather-thought. I don't think it's lost at all... just lining the brain's nest to hatch a fresh brood of fertile poetic ET chicklets! :)) xx

Maybe it's not lost, but being stored, for a future day. I bet those birds know!

Tell me about it! I can so relate to this, Eileen, so relate...and how well you put it, calmly, gently and with poignancy.

Who knows where thoughts come from or whence they will go. Clutter of your brain, or in your warm heart. NIce thought, these thoughts.

You are not alone. Somehow many thoughts float away as the day takes hold and the mind becomes cluttered with daily chores, but it will return again...

Be always safe,

Eileen, I see that I am not alone when I attempt to recapture a poetic moment if I am without pen and paper. In those moments I have found that the thought and the essence are forever lost in another segment of time I am unable to recapture. Frustrating. May peace and love be always with you my dear friend.
