Frosted feelings were thawing

left with my stomach gnawing

put craving away on shelves

lips left to bite themselves

no one to fill  inner need

sheets left unsoiled of seed

climb walls of gilded gold

walk the floors creaking old

play the music of memory

wander  dreams of reverie

wistful moments of misery

just one being, no longer we

now set out one cup of tea

now separated you from me

A sad, but often true, set of circumstances--well penned, as usual.

Eileen, such loneliness is revealed here. It leaves a path of void that is stark with reality and infringing doubt. My very best to you. May this day find you joyful, loved and embraced in the arms of peace. Jon Michael

ET, We all go through this type of loneliness. One day our princes will come and then we will complain that he always leaves the seat up...Man there is no pleasing us women..lol

I understand, I live alone and have lived alone for a while now. Where is that Prince anyway?

Much peace, love and light,
Amber

Goodness, such inner sadness and dispair, but very understandable when two are no more and life continues as one. God bless...

Be always safe,
Karen

Melancholy to the nth, Eileen. I resemble this pretty much also. Most days it's bearable, some days it is pretty good. It's what it is.
