by too many men of excuse
the wizards of wily games
using the words of blame
escaping their guilty lair
with actions that are unfair
her naivete has her fraught
in too many webs she's caught
mistake is her middle name
whoredom has become her fame
whatever you have she'll barter
love no longer in her charter
the way of the road is best
for demons that can't be blest
when phantoms look for fuel
it's her that feels their drool
in maniacal darkness of night
she gives them their only light

Eileen, this is unfortunately truth to far greater numbers of women today than most would imagine. Circumstance and lack of preparation from their family during youth. Gigolos, drunks and druggies promise them everything and anything then turn them out like so much refuse. A sad statement of fact. You expressed this with great compassion my dear friend. So powerful. And more than I realised go down this path or a path that is similar. Dumping the one they love for a cheap quick fix of local men, for many reasons, rather than wait for the season.
