The ides of March, Lion, Lamb
presaging Spring says here I am
all in one day wind rain snow sun
it keeps us wondering which one
hailstorms  some are  golf ball size
the month that loves to dramatize
how much like humanity this season
renewal, rebirth,newbirth, new reason
running the gamut from abyss to apex
making emotions from please to  vex
soft, sibilant, serene , serendipitous
raging,rampant, rapacious ,riotous
is there madness in this dichotomy
does this month need a lobotomy
I think march is  beautifully adorned
after all it's the month I was born!

~etw~

Happy Birthday to all you other mad marchies!;-)

And happy birthday to you! Your best line here is the one about March needing a lobotomy. It certainly is a time for all seasons rolled into one.

Thanks for the cheer.

... and you wear it well, Eileen! March suits you!! March sure can be harey and scarey (not you, BTW!!) but also wild and wonderful (that's you, BTW!!) Enjoy your birthday on whatever date it falls. xx

"does this month need a lobotomy"

Nobody & nothing needs a lobotomy, unless maybe I do, sometimes I wish for a new brain, so no operations even for a month as fickle as this one can be...e

Hey! Hey! Hey! Happy birthday, Eileen, and many more to come. As for me, I've been sick as the devil for about a week. I just call it the creeping crud. Passed out in the Wal Mart parking lot Saturday from a reaction to some antibiotics I'd been given for my cough. Ambulance and all. I still feel like the devil. Sorry to ramble on about my problems.

Tomorrow, in Sweden, we will be walking and driving on half-water, half-ice roads. In Swedish we call this Slask. Happy Birthday to you, Queen.

As we are about to leave the chill of February and greet the unpredictable month of March we thankfully say goodbye to another Winter
and look forward to another Spring and one of your poetic delights.

How can I be mad at March when I know
that it has blown away icy February.

And, of course, Eileen, March gave us you.

Happy Birthday.

Aw, you have to tell me the date of your birth. I like to wish my friends a happy birthday. When I seen the title of this piece I thought you were writing about Basketball...LOL
GOD BLESS YOU
