just a poem;-)
---

Oh love that fades in shallow shoals
on ripples of despair
Like watching on a screen that scrolls
as matter disappears

Oh time that slows to make the heart
a vessel of distress
When swift passage would help in part
to make it more painless

Where does reason go when soul is sore
from harsh exposure
When you need it most there's no door
for the insecure

I 'm fraught with tears of deep regret
if I have caused some hurt
Yet, in cement some minds were set
that were too introvert

Frail feelings once having abound
harbor no malice here
The strength to understand is found
if minds are taught to care

Oh love that never leaves my thoughts
that takes up all my days
Where  can one find the  fondness sought
to take the ache away

etw

Wow...this is so profound,so deep and so powerful...whoever could hurt it (a soul) so harshly ,as the one in your perfect poem, could not have really known the true tender treasure that it is.
Big warm sisterly hugs to you
from
your aussie fan and friend
Kay

Deeply within we find our answers and our will to move to the next level of what life offers. We all need to have no pain and stress. The key is to find that place within that resonates within our being. Lovely poetry to make the mind ponder.

Much peace, love and light,
Amber

Eileen, When your not with the one you love it hurts. The sun will shine again when the time is right. Kinda sounds like my life. I know it is just a poem but it feels like the real thing. Take care, and god bless you always! ~Chessly

Introspection at the poetic level. Sad, perhaps, but
written with skill in the search for answers to hard
questions. Good one, Eileen. -gene.

"Where does reason go when soul is sore..."
i've asked myself that more than once,
not as eloquently as you put it but i've asked.
This, Eileen, reaches far within.
