We Knew The Day Was Near

We waited as we watched,
We knew the day was near,
We knew how much it would hurt,
Now she's gone, it's just not fair.

She was an Angel without wings,
She helped everyone she met,
She was called to her home up above,
She left this world with no regret.

She always shared a smile,
Each and every single day,
Loved so very much by all,
We wanted her to stay.

You were the perfect Mom,
Teaching us to always be good,
We grew up to be good adults,
Just like you knew we would.

We know you are gone now,
To your new home in the sky,
We didn't want to lose you,
But you had to say good-bye.

We shed tears because we loved you,
We knew the day was near,
We pray that you always knew Mom,
Just how much we loved you Dear.
