Axilea - Excellent poem of the spiritual journey. So much to quote, especially:
Your disappointment
Was worse than gravity
It took you down
Then deep
Yet deeper into the ground
and
What you were looking for
Frighteningly opened
A door that showed you possibilities
Despair was such an easier game
Than freedom and responsibility
- Wise and compassionate - David
"You saw the silk of the sky
Torn apart" - Powerful metaphor that lies like a gem in wonderful evocative lines. It was an enjoyment to read this unsettling poem.
to open one's heart reveals many treasures-lovely poem--I must confess that I cannot pronounce your last name, may I simply say your name as

'Travel to the heart of matter to touch your heart only with what matters'....'When you found the link between the two in your heart'----BEAUTIFL, I LOVE THIS SENTENCES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liana Margiva
Lightness, enlightenment, the light goes on, all the same, it is that place that you reach of understanding and nothing else really matters at that point, very powerful poem here, and it opens one's mind to all possibilities.
Peace, love, and light,

Powerful messages of hope in the midst of such a downward spiral only to find your way back into the light. Yes, it can be and sometimes is so very overwhelming at times...
There is great depth to the message of this poem. Several stanzas are worth quoting, but I think my favorite is the third to the last... our perceptions can sometimes be so deceptive to our own eyes that we fail to really see the truth... because the truth is what we make it (in many cases), because it is our reality. But then you added that what seemed to be getting you nowhere was everywhere. I know that sometimes I feel as though I am spinning my wheels or walking up a slippery mountain of trials... I don't feel as though I am going anywhere, but when I take the time to really look... new vistas are opened before my eyes and I can indeed see how far I've come...
But... that is just my perception of your words. :~)

I felt the literal e)motion of up and down here. And I love the conclusion--a link made of light-- It does seem that the things that are true are often paradoxical, yet simple somehow.
This part is my favorite:
"You thought the ground
Was slippery with mud
You saw the silk of the sky
Torn apart"
...powerfully visual, and personal on a metaphorical level. --Charlie
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
"Despair was such an easier game
than freedom and responsibility"
That might well be the declaration of a psychotherapist.
"...And everywhere
You ended up knowing
Is both outside
And within."
The insight is almost too profound for a simple guy like me.
So I read it all a third time and began to feel as well as see.
From the variety of comments below, we each found value in a single verse yet also in the totality.
Great job!

It was all your perception
And what seemed
To be getting you nowhere
Was indeed everywhere" This says it all.
