If mother's that loved their children ruled the earth, would there be so much war? I don't think so. Why would any mother want to send a child they gave birth to and raised to adulthood through tough love want to send a child off to the meat grinder's of war. I know this seems to be a review that does not fit the beauty of your poem but that's what came to mind. I remember with fondness driving places with my wife and daughter as they sang along with the radio. That was when the daughter was very young. Today, our daughter has memorized most of the songs to musicals like Phantom of the Opera and Chicago. We never know when our sixteen year old will burst into song and start to dance (at home--not in public). Amazing when she does. I suspect she will be a great mother too.
This succinct but profound stanza resonated with the substance of a personal, real life solitary affair that finally found resolution in a dream. We were re-united at long last.
Inseparable notes, singing that fertilises joy, sitar: in other words, a mystical, Far East tone, melody and tempo that are seamless in their construction and certain of their arousing impact upon the spiritually honed voice.
Sing your voice, you are with your poetry. Your efforts and success at what you write is startling. It's like you have been through an ordeal and were emotionally numb and through your poems emotionally you are awakening to the wonder of you. Another brilliant poem. Liz
Very mystical and mythical feel to this with some beautiful telling detail... nice to see "sitar" somewhere in a poem, nicely assonant with "fiber seed". Fabulous conclusion. I like the idea of struggle associated with the mother birthing and the "springfree" and fast hands of the first few lines. Interesting and unique perspectives as always. Kate xx
Reading this brings a rush of India to my mind with flowing robes of dazzling colours, incense drifting on air and of course the haunting melodies of far away lands...lovely write Axilea

Doesn't matter if you whisper them, sing them, shout them, write them, carve them, capture them, tackle them, fling them, breath them............your masterful flowing words are definitely something to be beheld, one of a kind, breathtakingly lovely. In honor! Deborah
What a gorgeous piece, Axilea. But I'm wondering about that "sung"--it either needs an auxiliary verb, or else, you need simple past "sang."
Aside from that, the imagery is outstanding.
There are those who play, and my voice just hums-- there's no stopping it... Descants slip from higher octaves through my lips in la's and oo's and da-dum-ditty's... weaving with the notes, creating harmony.
And then, there are those who play, who cause me to shush myself, and all else within my hearing-- ears straining, breath-holding, eyes closed, and me... melting.... becoming one with the music.
Such a powerful force, it is... stronger than anger... as powerful as love. How I love music. --Charlie
