What came together,
in an immediate eternity
    - translucid,
     like the mystery elucidated
    then graciously hushed -
what came together,
was a surprise
                       at a pivotal moment,
gently rocking pieces of you, of me, of us.
         Lashes meet
         in the candlelight,
I see the dripping soft wax
         of your pale eyelids
         and skin cries
         while quietly you smile
         from your chair
         and I see wings
         instead of wheels,
         my skin smiles...
                       your chair, my cradle.

Lashes meet
in the candlelight,

Your poetry is so captivating. I can really see the picture you pain. Skin crying...amazing.

I could rave... you brilliant, brilliant girl! 1: that shape-- awesome! right off the bat, I saw a few images: a wavering top with a relatively straight bottom-half, and I thought... hmmmmm candle? But wait... could be a person kneeling... 2: so I read, and was thinking "Big Bang?" and the poem totally works with that theory until you get to the second half. 3: So I change my second-guessing tactics, and just read... 4: liquid imagery so mind-popping wonderful... 5: I see pale skin of the aged, a rocking chair, and a grandaughter (so much love...) and then 6: I think, you know (my didactic mind getting control of me again) if she were to change that "chair" to foot stool, then my first reading would totally work again... candles, kneeling, devotion.... and ....subtle, gentle, feminine movements, dripping wax --"skin smiles" I love it! It all works beautifully. :) --Charlie

Goose pimple bones comes to mind, a line that goes hand in hand with the sensation fuelling the smile of one's skin.

Nice thougths Axilea...the pivotal moment sends the mind into a variety of imagination...along with that immediate eternity...your expression od two combined into a specialty of smiles and skin, the very essence of a candlelite event...

Axilea - Tender, wise poem of flesh and spirit. Especially liked the closing lines:

and skin cries
while quietly you smile
from your chair
and I see wings
instead of wheels,
my skin smiles...
your chair, my cradle.

The surface images are excellent in themselves and can stand alone; what lies beneath resonates subtly, a lasting vibration..."like the mystery elucidated then graciously hushed..."
Yes, wings indeed instead of wheels.
