Poem Artwork

When I had given up
Hope
You brought dawn
To my darkness.
You freed me from
An existence bereft
Of feminine joy, and
The sorrow of
Having never known
The love of
A good and
Gentle man.
When you stepped
Out of a dream
You put to rest
All those voices
That once declared me
Unworthy, and
Helped me to see
What they would deny:
The beauty that lies
Within me.

It sounds like he sent you a beautiful reflection, that is what love can do. Nicely written poem Rebecca.

Inside each of us is a very unique individual, but not everyone can see that person within us. It takes a very special person to connect with us to bring out that unique quality from within us. Great write, Rebecca!

Indeed, you hit the mark here: Love can be self-revealing and oh so comforting. Nothing like it in the world.
