For some certain sailors...

Poem Artwork

My name is Lizette,
I'm a sexy bear,
Just laying here her wishing
You were here, not there.
I fantasize nightly
Of your coming home,
My life is so lonely
Whenever you roam.
But know you remain
Safe inside my heart,
Though we may be
Many miles apart.
So stay safe, my darlings,
Keep me in mind
Whenever you're lonely
In these words you'll find.
I'm yours forever,
And not a day less,
I keep for you always
My sweetest kiss.

A sweet way of waiting for your man to come home from the sea. Or is it men (darlings?) that come back to this port. Or is it just a fetish for teddy bears that the sailor would be wanting to return to? ;-)

Delightful in a poignant kind of way...
Many can relate to this as John says...

A poem that many can relate to during the pandemic when we have been isolated and separated from those that we love. Lovely.

Nicely expressed and could apply to so many scenarios, lovers far away, children grown and left nest and loves lost never to be regained but always treasured.

Sweet! You have reminded me of my first crush. I was in grade two and she was in grade one. I remember her like it was yesterday. Her name was/is Louisette. Love, peace, and best wishes to you, Rebecca.
