My heart was like a fallow field,
Fertile with promise
But long neglected,
Parched from an endless drought,
Overgrown and strewn
With the trash of others.
But then you came,
Bringing with you
The wisdom and patience
To cultivate with care.
You cleared the brush,
Pulled the weeds,
And hauled away
The refuse of those
Who saw it as little more
Than a dumping ground;
Your touch was like
A gentle rain,
Your smile brought
Wildflowers to life,
And your love was like
The sun shining down,
Nourishing me
With your warmth.
I find your expression of love very soul-stirring for me. I love being able to relate to what the poet is expressing without having to reflect upon it. It just feels "right." Love, peace, and best wishes to you, Rebecca,

That image is spectacular. While it looks like native wildflowers, I think a gardener did a little enhancement in the presentation. Similar to what I saw over Victoria Island in August. A place I would recommend anyone who is interested in cultivated flowers.
Wow, just wow! This is one of the sweetest love poems and tribute to someone who is truly loved that I have read in a long time. The object ofyour appreciation is truly a lucky man.
