A Celebration of Love

Run Away With Me When first I caught your eye, offering a nod, the magic of your gentle smile took my breath away Was I too daring to approach, letting my throbbing pulse reveal the secret of my heart? Yet even before we spoke, your qualities filled my soul with the need of you, spurring me to beg... Run away with me Run away with me tonight Run away with me and share my life forever My mouth dry, my throat tight with the angst of feared rejection, I whispered, "Are you taken in life?" When you answered with a quiver of your head and soft pursing lips, I nearly fainted Moving to you, I held out my open hand inviting your company, my heart pressing the act... Richard, your lovely poem reveals what a true romantic you really are, and it further accentuates emotions that mark the depth of your passions. I love it and your recitation, but I didn't want it to end in heaven; although I suppose that is where a TRUE romance will eventually end--or should I say have a new beginning.
