In Ian’s eyes, there is a brightness you cannot miss

It tells you, “I’m here to assist if you need me.”

Although he’s still young his eyes say something else

To those who take the time to look and wonder.

They show love, reliance, the ability to see and understand

What so many of us have taken for granted since we are grown.

In his eyes he tells you he listens, understands and will be a friend

Even though you have never met before;

They say “Trust me,” when he looks right at you.

His eyes get your attention and one day, just one fine day,

He will be more important than any of us can ever hope for

Or imagine possible for him to be.
