Kitten-cats
go pitty-pat
with paws
smaller than quarters.
Their funny yawns
can make a pawn
of your heart,
stretching borders,
and wishing hard,
they eye the lard,
as it cooks up the bacon,
the weakened human
gives it up,
under the table-taken!
Shedding fur
sheds everywhere,
'til it flies up your nose,
then just as
you grab the cat-brush,
she's gone like a ghost....
the furry hell
you know too well
will soon give way
to purrs,
only then you realize
you've fallen for her lure.....
too late!
