Strange, little one,
you feed the sun
right back with your sweet smile,
while the crowds pass
you by on
this hardened sidewalk-mile.

You look up
occasionally
as if to say
"thank you"

to the angels
in the clouds
but they're closer-
it's true ....

Strange, where you've come,
you've fed the grunge
with your
oblivion,

an innocence
that's somehow kept
itself intact
has won

the Angels over,
They see more than
