(sorry, to those who gave kind words to the first "The Gift", I did appreciate them though, :o), this has just a revision or two)

A Gift just lit
down on my shoulders,
trickled to my heart,
lightened up thoughts,
and dark corners
now glow in the dark,

lightness is in my step too,
sudden was this change,
I know it won't leave, it's true ,
Grace will rearrange

confusion and garbage
in old negativity halls.
My mom must be praying
for me again and broke the wall

finally,
of the part of me
that says, "no, just can't be"
to goodness and all it can give..
guess I'll call her and see

what's new
and thank her
for urging
the Gift
and all it's light.
Thank God for my mother
and the Gift she wished
so right....
