Mirror, mirror
you've got gall,
I'm trying to hide those wrinkles,
an old girlfriend who
recommends
Botox for lovely crinkles
looks AMAZING
but it's
crazy to shoot poison, I think,
in my forehead, whether I'll go ahead
or not, this stinks.....
I went browsing through old photos of when
I was about eighteen,
I had no idea how hot or cute I was back then
but I see NOW, lot good it does me
to see what before I couldn't,
or maybe it IS good
to appreciate now, the good in my old wouldn't's.
Mirror, mirror
take my all
who cares if I've got wrinkles
my good boyfriend says to me
when I criticize crinkles,
"you look AMAZING,
are you crazy?" To shoot poison, I think,
in my forehead, will have to wait
10 or so years.......
Amusing and oh, so true. Why is it that we didn't stare at our wrinkle-less face in the mirror when it would have given us immense joy to do so but we must look now at each wrinkle and mourn it? Your poem is true and original.
Always much better just being who you are. No thank you, I would rather have the wrinkles, besides needles hurt. Then to have to do it again and again and again? Good write.
Never forget you earned those wrinkles of courage.

Yep, got to love those wrinkles. I've got one between my eyebrows that I'd love to shoot poison into, but then I think, who cares what I look like, my honey loves me just the way I am:)
