Years measured in drooping jowls

Left on the train – kids and coal

Trucks and new cars wash mud
To gutters and paths
For honest boots to tread

Hiss of sea drawing breath on
Stones unprotected from wind
Weather and
Unnatural forces flailing the coast

Stay safe on the stool
Rumble like waves
Against rocks at Granity

A periodic pounding of heart
Against mind
Despite soul
