where do the wordsmiths go
on days when there is no rain
on nights when there are no dreams
and inside ivory palaces remains
only the shadow of a forgotten child
weeping silently in a dark hallway
with no one there to dry his tears?
where do the lovers go who have
sipped from the cup of heartache
and swallowed the dregs of despair?
what choice have those who can feel
only a profound void of laughter
filled with the ache of numbness
in droughts where rain is a memory?
where do the broken ones go
when heavy doors that never opened
are sealed and bolted eternally?
how do the poets find their words
that have long lain cold and motionless
like ancient fossils covered with silt
at the bottom of their caves of pain?
they go in search of their souls laid bare with the agony of emotions sifted through like the sands of endless time, no rhythm, no reason,no rhyme -- just the onset of creative stagnation fashioned from desires crying into the vastness of the eternal abyss -- and yet, at poet's end, they'll write again -- gotta love this introspection La Belle -- peace and love my friend -- Jon Michael
your query covers some deep concerns about poets and lovers who plunge themselves upon experiences of the heart and soul and find themselves lost in the shuffle being ...
I'm glad I visited today, and stayed a long while reading this heartfelt poem, and listening to such soothing music!!! Thanks La Belle for sharing, and taking time out to care for others!
Where? Who knows? Perhaps Erato's children should experience love through pain and solitude, lost, wished, wanted and unreachable by fate's caprice or destiny whims.
A composer wrote Requiems Lacrimosa, a wordsmith Hundred Years of Solitude, seems that poets go to words graveyards to find the ones their inspiration are screaming inside their hearts.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
