ripe lips of Aphrodite
purse with capricious charm
while cool jewels of her eyes
overcome generals and kings
with dark mystery unsolved
and eternal fire unquenched
in the depths of her soul
the voice of Aphrodite
sings melodic siren songs
“come close” she whispers
“and do not leave me to find
another to enfold in my arms”
her words languid and lascivious
annunciated to possess hearts
the flesh of Aphrodite
priceless like fine porcelain
dew kissed and pink blushed
soliciting lover’s kiss of flame
she surrenders without shame
among the mangrove trees
when she has conquered him
I think we all possess the ripe lips of Aphrodite when we seduce the one we want or have fallen in love with. You are indeed the Poetess Of The Heart dear den sister, and let us always be the conquering godesses to our men. Thank you for sharing this delightful poem.
