Love takes it's own direction

Love the way you showed how love overcome any differences we might have and make the connection stronger.

Belle, this is as smooth as Southern Comfort and as refreshing as mint juleps. What a lucky man this fellow must be, a Yankee that won the Dixie heart and soul of a Southern Belle. And Dixie fixin's are as good as it gets. This is a war any rational man would consider himself fortunate indeed to accept the terms of surrender for. A battle for the finest conditions of romance. I wish you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

Yes, you are correct...I would understand little to nothing about southern ways and I do not drink but I can tell a Southern belle is quite a lady when she raises up her red hair and beneath that parasol and in that wine red dress with a black figure hugging dainty blouse just as in the picture...I would have to surrender the whole west. Your magic in story telling is always the alluring spell of the den.

I'm from the upper Midwest… Does that count? You've captured the nuances between North and South very well. Except I really love collard greens––mustard greens even better. And Jim Beam is my brand. The last line really topped it off. Autobiographical?

LaBelle, this is such a wonderful and well-written love poem. I enjoyed reading every veerse, you told the story very well, that's
allows us all to realize that "Love" Conquers All. The Southern Bell
fell in love with a Northern Man Who Really loved her. great ending.
Thanks for the write.

quite the romantic story you have weaved here La Belle--such a man may not understand her " Southern Belle ways" but real Love doesn't care about the things that make us all different but on the things that make us more desirable to the other--opposites attract and often to a long lasting effect
