Written Pictures

A pencil in my hand
A notebook on my lap
Words pour from my heart
to fill the empty pages
An idea in my mind
forming lines and stanzas
Don’t know how they get there
but liking the pictures I see
Writing about the moon
Seeing it big and silver
Little streams rush over
smooth earth tone pebbles
Evergreens lining worn trails
fresh scents surround me
Sunbeams and rainbows
warm me inside and out
Piles of fluffy snow
I shiver writing about them
Writing of pain and sadness
tears run down my face
So many feelings circle
On paper they make magic
The words capture emotions
Painting pictures from my heart
