Shades of blue outside my window, early morning stillness. Rain drops singing melodies as they glance off the window pane. This is the pause between fall and winter Stark bare branches silhouette against the sky.On the surface of the lake raindrops meld and become one. From the small shed roof liquid falls to form puddles. Damp and chill creep slowly to penetrate my bones. I am reminded of the stark contrast between cold damp fall rain and frozen wintry white beauty in fluffy piles everywhere I look. A contrast of sadness and joy.
