is like the sunshine after the rain

friendship

is something special

giving without asking

caring

letting the other be who they are

accepting

forgiving

laughing

having fun

smiling

being honest

not always be right

but seeing their side of things

and share your perspective

friendship is like the sunshine

after the storm

the rainbow

colors our world

and reminds us

that friends keep us grounded

and let us be human

and not perfect

it matters not what clothes

we wear

or how we look

or where we live

or how much money in our pocket

our friends are true

and hold us dear

that's what friends

are for

to be here

for us

they lift us up

don't let us down

no matter what we do

or what we say

a friend will always

know what to say

to bring a smile

or maybe a tear

they walk beside us

not in front

or behind us

they just accept us

as we are....

a friend is a wonderful

thing to be

Just count

your blessings

and your friends

and even the darkest

days won't seem

so bad...

with a good friend

to talk things over

and laugh at your troubles

and create new mischief

make us see that life can be fun

and bright and happy

friends remind us that its okay

just to be you

because you

are something

special!

A very warm and fuzzy poem on friendship. Friends are all that you have penned in this worthy tribute...well done!

...you have said much of friendship in this fine write...for all to climb the ladder of these words...up and down again...until a circle of the heart...finds all hands held.
excellent Katie...

That is the whole idea and you have sincerely summed it up well with loving overtones...

You have covered it all with words. Don't let anyone say anything bad about you at any time, cause you are what you are and will always be and a friend to all. You must stand up for your feelings tell you true things are for you.

Katie, your words are rich & true...a friend is someone we can feel totally comfortable with. This is an excellent write...full of truths & honesty.
