keepsakes

We are from different worlds

you and I

grasping hands to span time.

Cherishing stolen moments

of shared laughter

and love.

We search for something

anything

to hold on to each other.

You gave me a crystal from Heaven.

and I gave you a rose from my heart.

We hold close to our hearts

these keepsakes of love

connecting our hearts forever.

We are from different worlds

You and I

with two hearts we live in one.

Well written, Gabrielle. I like the line breaks a lot. I've
found that people from different worlds rarely "live in one."

You show your true heart on this one. It is very good poetry and says lots. Everyone is separate entity, but can be brought together with love. Good write.
