What dreams in youth that had I The future seemed so bright I felt that I could touch the sky And all would be all right But years pass on, reality bites Its teeth can tear the heart Dreams that once were held so tight Begin to fall apart But not to dream that will not do For every day and night Without my dreams to hold to Would not be worth the fight So dream your dreams and set your goals And inside keep believing For not to dream would leave a hole Far worse than not achieving

So true, Wayne, so true!
I asked myself this question recently - What would I do if I could do anything and time, money, opportunity, etc were not to be considered restraints...
The answer was rather surprising.
I think that most of us tend to drift through life, taking the opportunities and walking through the open doors that present themselves because it seems the sensible thing to do but very rarely are they congruous with our dreams.
Yes, we need to hold our dreams a little tighter.
Great write.
Thanks
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
