The Words of His Father...
Didn't Stop Him...
From Choosing the Streets...
The Anguished Pleas of His Mother...
Didn't Stop Him...
From Choosing the Streets....
His Baby's Cries...
Didn't Stop Him...
From Choosing the Streets...
His Woman Blocking the Doorway...
Didn't Stop Him...
From Choosing the Streets...
My Black Girl Tries....
Didn't Stop Him...
From Choosing the Streets...
His Determined Look...
As He Faced Them All...
Told Them What They Did Not Want to Hear...
That Single Look...
His Final Decision...
A Sealed Commitment...
Took Him Back to the Streets...
His Father's Words...
His Mother's Pleas ..
His Baby's Cries...
His Woman's Action ...
My Black Girl's Tries...
All came to a Halt...
At the Spot Where the Streets...
Took brutally...
What it Considered...
Their Own!
