I Know Not the Season

His journal, her heart, she knows not the season she will come.

Almost like the seasons

Which flew by so quickly

Thy beauty, its softness

Once upon a time caressed

Now, touch as nails

I glance into the mirror

To find I've grown

Old and gray

The crowfeet on my face

Resemble the nest in my hair

Ageless seem the memories

My thoughts linger

Holding your journal in thy hand

I've read over and over

The memories you pen

Before, Heaven called your name

Rest in peace my Love

Wait for me

I know not the season

I'll arrive

Oh nice write my friend, tugs at the heart...their is a longing within the lines of this write...reminds me of my paternal grandparents, they actually passed on within one week of each other, my papaw died first and mamaw died five days later, just gave up her desire to live, the doctors said she grieved herself to death, broken heart....this is a very touching write my friend and you've penned it well.
Blessings,

BEautiful and touching I could feel the faded and well thumbed journal as she read the lines and contemplated the wait until they could be reunited.

Debra,

A very beautiful write my friend. I love the way you measure time by seasons. There are always the memories. We hold them close to our hearts.
