Mothers' Broken Wings

Mother mourns death of her son...Daughter takes advantage of Mothers affection...While other children scatter in pain...

Mothers' wings are broken

Cries she in awe

Her children have scattered

Mourns she

The loss of her baby Son

So much

A Daughter steals her affection

Placing herself in his shoes

Awaken Dear Mother

Before it is too late

Gather thy Children

Who also have mourned

Give to each the same love

As the other

For

They are your seeds of life

Bare their grief

As they comfort you with their love

Be then

Your broken wings will heal

Awwwwwww! So profoundly sad, hard to get over. Allow God to show you the way, comfort you and all your children. Well done.

Be safe,
Karen

Deb, this is a touching writing...we often rally to another for consolation and sometimes overlook those who are also important. Your voice in this piece brings a sincere meaning to this poem...sad, but a truthful write.

As I read this I thought how very true, when a child is lost the consolation or rallying point must be the survival and need for love of the other children. Sweet but also sad images conjured with this write Deb.
