My wish of Dear Old Santa...Be not a gift...
*Dedicated* To the Children of Make a Wish Foundation I have wished for so little My life this far Never asking for a miracle From Dear Old Santa at all This year I prayed Santa Might forget the gift? Instead consider Granting me just a wish Taking me home for Christmas To be with my family You see Dear Old Santa The Doctor�s say I haven�t much time left Only a few days This incurable cancer Will never go away Hopefully my wish Not come too late Dear Old Santa If there is anything you can possibly do Granting my wish a dream to come true I promise to leave a slice of Mother�s cake A special gift from me to you Just one more thing Santa If the next year I am in Heaven above Ring your sleigh bells Christmas eve So I might hear them from above Copyright 2007

A very heartfelt write my friend, touching and very sad as well, but a subject that many parents face every day. I count my blessings and thank the Lord for my health, my children's and my grandchildren daily. Thought provoking!

The sadness breaks my heart. Impending death is always tragic, but for a child - it just breaks everyone's heart.

Make A Wish Foundation has been around for some time now doing very difficult and special work. I wish they would get the recognition they deserve for the all they have accomplished. Nice writing...

A Wish that I join you in hoping it is granted. Santa, after all, is but one of the Saints, or Angels, assigned to make our wishes come true. Olde Saint Nick is still on the job, and we've trusted him for centuries, so we join you in knowing that this one will surely be yours. Happy Turkey Day. A Sweet and Loving Christmas.
