Sometimes...Love withers...Only we reap what we sow...

I was once told

The love I bare in my heart

Someday would leave me

Instead he shackled me

My lovely red roses

Withered as did his love

His heart

My becoming a prisoner

I could not leave

My tears turn to blood

I died a beautiful soul

In shackles

The withered rose I carry

As my spirit

Walk in the night

Shackled

God set me free

I have seen paradise

Though he

Shall suffer in torment his guilt?

Sometimes, humans are unable to see the gifts we've been given until those gifts are gone. Fortunately, thanks to God's Love, we have the ability to start over, heal, move on, and find ourselves again.

A beautiful write,
Jill

To be unshackled and live a free spirit with God's love, how beautiful....

Be safe,

Strong words with powerful insight, love does not always last forever even though we do our best to nurture it and make it grow the sad truth it sometimes it just cannot last. The sad part I think more than anything else is when people give up trying but also give up aspiring to be free to love again.

i really relate to this. and i know just what you are feeling. lived that life for way too many years and now i am on the other side of love. i agree with kathy sometimes good things are lost and my x also knows that, but i am glad i am free from the bondage that i was kept in. i can only do one thing now in life and that is bloom.

always,
randy

I, too, have felt this sadness and my heart wither. Yet, like the flower, my heart has blossomed, again, and I am blest. My ex always said he'd lost a good thing. Too late.

God bless you. Kathy

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
