Merry Christmas, Elizabeth
wherever you are
and thanks for those pleasant,
flickering frames.
I hope the year
has had some joy--
your name still has its fame, you know.
Merry Christmas, Elizabeth
seems days ago
we in dark seats,
giant you on the screen,
popcorn and jelly beans.
Merry Christmas, Elizabeth
I wish you thousands more.
I also wish for both of us
new life, new loves, new fun and games.
Merry Christmas, Elizabeth
my house, you know, is yours.
