That’s the question! Can you stay?

If you can love me, put no other love above me and promise for all eternity,
That you’ll not let temptation, a pretty face or deceitful dream snare you away from me, you can stay.

But wait, there’s more.

If you can surrender your heart and soul to me, lovingly, courageously, unquestioningly, wholeheartedly and never worry anymore about being footloose and fancy free, then you can stay.

And remember this:

I’ve been hurt and probably hurt someone too, but if you stay always remember, for our kind of love there’s a price to pay. Some will ridicule us because two men in love is unnatural, against scripture and just plain disgusting! Can you take it?

Will your mother and father consider me a certain kind of oddness in the scheme of human madness, expect me to Jesus, confess, or will they receive me in pure and loving tenderness?

For us to succeed this kind of love can’t be faked. Will you love to wake beside me in early morning? I give you fair warning, I love to kiss the stars good night and I love to be held, can you hold me and will you share love and life without fret or care? If so, you can stay.

Go, stay, stay or go, only you can know, but if you stay I will love you with the same love I ask of you. So, can you stay?
