A few lessons I learned while stumbling through this life. dlj

Wise Words
© 2008
Dan Johnson

Wise men have spoken these words from ages past with the simple intent that when your head and heart is filled with grief, anger, doubt, fear and all the other emotions that set the soul on fire; do the following things, and peace will follow.

Stop:
worrying. “Look at that sparrow”; you don’t see him spilling his guts on Dr. Phil. He doesn’t worry, he just keeps pecking away at life.

Talking, turn off your cell phone, Why do you think God created voice mail and re-dial?

Running, “tell me, do you know where you’re going, do you know where you’ve been?”

Look:
At that glass of water, no one cares if it’s half-filled or half-empty, just fill it up!

At yourself, if you are not happy with what you see, what are you going to do about making change?

At your feet, no one else can make them move, but you..

Listen:
To the child tugging at your arm. You can start worrying when she stops tugging.

To the ocean waves lapping lazily on the beach, unless you live in Omaha, then listen as the corn stalks stretch to the sky.

To your heart beat the sweet melody of life.

Very cleverly put lines and "old saws" updated for our time. I like the last two the best; eternal words to live by, especially when in Nebraska!
best to you always, michael

Probably someone will say philosophical, I will say it is only good sense...if only we stop and give our full attention...

The title says everything. These are some wonderous things to ponder, though you wonder why you never did.
