I loved you for an hour,

Then for a day,

The longer we were together,

The more I could feel your love fade away

Like a misty blue,

Like a rambling shoe,

I could feel deep in my heart,

I would see the last of you

The hurt lasted just a little time,

Then a little more,

I started feeling better when I knew for sure

You wouldn’t be walking through that door

Slowly the fade became a blur,

No more lies would you stir,

The one thing I knew for sure was

That you had finally faded away
