I do not make New Year's resolutions...I think they are foolish, but I leave myself open to all kinds of possibilities, thus this offering-dlj

 Pouring
Dan Johnson
© 31 December, 2012

I find myself:
Pouring another cup of coffee, decaf, black, and a little ground cinnamon

Still I’m:
Pouring myself into writing, poetry, rhyme, don’t rhyme, I don’t care, I need to write one more line.

I find adventure:
Pouring myself into doing new things for the first time, using Larry’s Mac Book, going to a Catholic Mass, adrenaline flows like sea billows roll. What’s next?

This year I’m committed to:
Pouring myself into finding out about whom I am, give a little, gain much more, what I can do, writing from a deeper part of my soul, giving more of me to nobler causes.

But for now I’m content to:
Pouring me another cup of black decaf with ground cinnamon…and I feel so free.

Such a beautiful flow of words, I love how it goes full circle. I don't believe in making resolutions any longer

Dan, whatever goes into your cup of emotional pursuits, keep it full and brimming. I believe you have a plan there. I wish you love and peace my dear friend, Jon Michael

I don't do the resolutions either...but I do like the way you put this together....nicely done, Dan.

Pouring forth into whatever copious floodplains lie ahead, Dan; sounds like the right wellspring and recipe for an abundant life. I like the fluidity of this write and the mixture of abstract to the anchor of the detail... My, that coffee and cinnamon smells good! Enjoy! :)) xx

Reminds me of "I'm a little teapot, short and stout!"
If it doesn't rain, it pours...
But I get a strong sense of what you're all about,
and, brother, it's good to have you crawling on our shores!

Peace
