Come Sit with Me-Revised
© 2006~18 March, 2013
Dan Johnson

come sit with me on this fallen log
we will talk of love…love now and ever more

walk with me to the meadow
where willows bend
and the winding creek blends time
with fingers dancing through soft and sensuous ripples
while summer breezes gently blow

come sit with me on this grassy knoll
we will drink sweet wine…
get lost in each others glow
And forget about father time

cross the creek with me, we’ll go to where lovers go
let’s walk until the sun falls down

come sit with me we’ll snuggle close
while the moon adjusts its brilliant crown.

Dan, I came and sat at my computer to be with you and I am glad that I did. Your poem is a sensuous creation with lines to die for. "With fingers dancing through soft and sensuous ripples" not the least of them. This work has a superbly gentle quality about it. I wish you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

this is sensuous gentle writing, Dan,
an evocative poem that stays in the senses
long after i've read it;
no pun intended, your closing line is majestic

i'm saving this to my library

Beautifully thought out seduction you have given us here, Dan. A step-by-step procedure on how to bill and coo as it were.
