This was written after the loss of several children-my own, in my family, and in my circle of friends-to accidents, miscarriages, and illnesses. Trying to come to terms with multiple loss without blaming God.
Heaven Scored
Damage and disease the devil deployed
My faith so strong I would not be toyed
You had my body but not my soul
And spit me back searching for control
My mind and heart the target now
To break my faith, curse God somehow
The pain began, taking those I love
Its you I curse, not God above
Heaven scored
So many taken, those loves of mine
Some were old, it was their time
Some Satan ravaged, their bodies destroyed
But near the end their spirits buoyed
An easy death, their lips did pray
A final breath ended their stay
They fought the battle just waiting to soar
God intervened saying wait no more
Heaven scored
Children are innocent, no gain for you
But one by one your daggers flew
Each child’s death perfectly orchestrated
You wanted my soul, my strength abated
Their souls left, now angels above
My boys in heaven continue to love
My body is weak, my heart and mind torn
But with their strength you are only a thorn
Heaven scored
I’ve lost so many but look what I’ve gained
Guardian angels you fight in vain
If you knew my strength would you be so calm
My family in heaven looks after ol’ Mom
God interceded when their pain was great
Or took them quickly, heaven their fate
Now I have an army provided by you
Isn’t it ironic, it’s your reward you slew
Heaven scored
Raelynn I am here reading your poem and I go back to when I lost the one who was the closest to me , my mom. She had a hard life and the only thing that kept me going after her death was knowing that she was in a much better place where she would no longer suffer from sickness or abuse. God works in mysterious ways and sometimes we may never have the answers, we have to believe that He has his reasons.

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
