Love lies, the little words you say
to soften a blow
when you very well know
it's gonna hurt.
Like when you say you like it
and you don't
and you say you will
when you know you won't.
and all those other things you say
to soften me up to get your way,
but thats okay,
'cause you know I'll do the same.
I'll lay it on thick
when I softly say your name.
and whisper in your ear
all the things you want to hear,
and speak with soft little sighs
when I tell you all
those little love lies.
