Saxophone Melodies
I can play with a cordless phone attached to my heart.
Sound waves travel swiftly through the air to send you
messages and
Tell stories of melted brown sugar and butter.
I ask, “What’s cookin’, baby?”
Creating scores of untold secrets while waiting to discover
you,
I uncover your dreams, my sleeping Goddess.
I fill your head like sand in an hourglass.
Time shifts with each melody I play for you
While hoping to hold on to the memory.
I blow.
You hear me.
We flow.
If only you’ll pick up and receive me
As I play the score to your heart.
Please, open the door.
