This World of Ours

What has happened to this world of ours?
We have lately acquired so many scars.
Of war and killing and no one willing,
to actually see all the crimes around us that are so chilling.
Where did we go wrong,
that it is taking so long,
for peace and tranquility to come?
I can’t understand why hurting people is so easy for some.
Who is to blame?
Is it just a game
between the leaders who want to make themselves a name?
Is everyone insane?
Power, self satisfaction, and greed.
Don’t they realize that is not the way to succeed?
In all my years, I have never seen so many fears
that people faces,
and the ones that causes them, leave no traces.
The desperation that faces many nations,
brings with them a feeling of unbearable situations.
There is so much poverty that doesn’t need to be.
Working together could make things better for you and me.
What ever happened to love thy neighbor?
That appears to be something we will never again savor.
Mean spirited and greedy ways have given away to darker days.
If we don’t wise up and change our ways,
there just might not be any more days.
The evil must go and we must have faith that somehow,
the light will shine and let us know the good always stays.
Maybe starting anew, with new leaders who have good intentions
and the welfare of the people of their countries in their hearts.
Strong and determined, but sensitive and caring,
should be the way to go,
so they can help this world of our to lighten up
and once again start to grow.
We must work on with hope and not fear.
And pray for a white light of healing to shine down
on us, and show us a how to love one another,
and know a reason to cheer is once again very near.
