This poem is for Jeff, my nice young friend- DJ and Comedian.

This painting of the train was done by my daughter Victoria. I really like it and I think it really matches my poem.

Poem Artwork

It's time to toot your horn
as you come around the bend
to begin your new journey
as the old one ends.
People are waiting with antisipation
for your arrival at the station
and will cheer for you without hesitation.
Sometimes your impatience gets in your way
and you try to speed up to catch a new day.
You push too hard to find your destiny.
Just chill your engine and happiness
you will see.
Be patient and slow down
and keep your wheels on the rails
that are solid on the ground.
Enjoy the view as you go speeding by,
and you will get there on time,
no need to sigh.
You'll start a new journey,
at the end of the line
and it will be a trip that is oh so fine.
People wait for your arrival
so they can catch a ride
and enjoy your trip too.
Boy oh boy, the skies are looking blue.
Slow down and quit pouring out so much steam
and from your name you will gain much esteem.
When you reach the station of lights
they will be shining bright.
People will be waiting,
some just to see you passing through
and wish they could take the exciting trip with you.
Others will get on board for the trip
of their life
and because of you,
they will laugh and laugh
and leave behind all their strife.
Train, Train, that's not your name,
but it led you to fame
and people everywhere love you all the same.

A Touch of Your Presence by V. A. MCCLOUD

In "A Touch of Your Presence" are words that would inspire, encourage and strengthen one's soul when faced with challenges and difficulties and to know the awesomeness of God's power.
