Spring

It’s March already
and spring is almost here.
It is my favorite time of the year.
The trees start budding
and the flowers begin to bloom.
That means winter is over
and it with it goes the gloom.
The sun shines bright and gives
warm light to the breezy days.
It makes me wish it would stay this way.
The air is fresh with the scent of flowers
and the smell gets sweeter after the springtime showers.
It isn’t hot, just a warm breeze blowing
that brings a smile to my face which now is glowing.
The smell of fresh cut grass brings wonderful thoughts
of working in the yard and enjoying family time,
present - and in past times-
of memories brought.
The butterflies flutter around
and the birds singing make a beautiful sound.
The blues skies with the white puffs of clouds above,
present such spring beauty as people fall in love.

This is a nicely done nature piece...although frankly, as much as I know we need it, I am tired of all the rain.
Good job here, Judith.
