God wants us to tell him about our hurt, pain, disappointments and problems.

I Just Tell My God

 There may be days

that I don't even have a dollar in my pocket,

but you won't know.  I just tell my God.

There may be tears in my eyes,

because I feel all alone,

but you won't know.  I just tell my God.

When my nose is snotty and my eyes have turned red,

because I'll cried all night.

You won't know.  I just tell my God.

When my desire to go to school,

but my funds are short.

You won't know.  I just tell my God.

Why should I tell you,

you have your own problems.

I just tell my God.

Why should I complain,

there's too many others who's worst off than me.

I just tell my God.

Why should I get mad,

because you don't feel my pain.

I just tell my God.

Why should I tell you when I am hurting.

  You won't know.

I just tell my God.

I thank God

because he knows the desires of my heart.

I don't have to tell him.

I thank God because he knows

how many strands of hair I have on my head.

I don't have to tell him.

I thank God

because he will supply all my needs

and give me benefits daily.

I don't have to tell him.

Who do you tell?

You have a support system in others, but be selective who you tell your heartfelt information. It make those close to you feel good to be able to offer you comfort and a sense of fulfilment to help ease your pain and agony. God always knows ....but humans can only wonder.

To answer your question. . .I also tell my fellow human beings because I feel that God put us here on Earth together so that we can support each other through the tough times as well as all else. When I share my painful experiences it helps to validate others and also gives them an opportunity to open their hearts and be there for me. And visa versa. There is nothing like a hug from the heart of an understanding fellow human being. We all need that, no matter how much we also talk with God.

This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given day.
