Once caged and docile, now cast out in harms way, why couldn't you let her be!
She has now tasted freedom and can't be sated!
She now rebels against laws that were mandated.
She was not of the wild, but was born into captivity,
She was born to be sheltered, not to roam free.
Was she this week's cause, to rally to her defense?
To coax her out, then abandon her, does that make sense?
She was once meek and would nibble food from your hand,
Now she has no trust and is so wary of man.
She was unleashed, bewildered and confused,
She is a deserted lost cause, with all to lose.
Beware of the creature you chose to evoke,
She is endangered and will soon disappear like smoke.
